STANDALONE LICENSE REPAIR PROCEDURE PALISADE CORPORATION Software Releases 6.0.0-7.5.0 (1) Before beginning this procedure, follow the instructions in http://kb.palisade.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=1395 to customize these instructions. (2) Click the magnifying glass in the lower left corner of License Manager. This opens the Advanced Options. Automatic or Manual Repair? =========================== Go right to Manual Repair if you remember doing a Manual Activation, or if you've done a repair within the last 90 days. Otherwise, try Automatic Repair first, because it's faster and simpler. Automatic Repair procedure ========================== (3) Click the Execute button. In the box that appears, paste this text, all as one line: -repair xxx -comm soap -commServer http://service.palisade.com/flexnet/services/ActivationService?wsdl Caution! Use the whole line, including the - at the start. (4) Click the OK button. A Notepad window will open, after a delay of up to 60 seconds. Look at the last couple of lines. If SUCCESSFULLY does not appear, close the Notepad window and go to step 5 to do a Manual Repair. If the word SUCCESSFULLY appears (even if it's followed by "ERROR 0", "Error Output", or similar), the Automatic repair succeeded. Close the Notepad window and the Advanced Options dialog in License Manager. Click Select License and select the repaired license. (You may need to close and reopen the application, to make the software read the repaired license.) Ignore the rest of this procedure. Manual Repair procedure ======================= (5) Click Execute again and paste this text: -repair xxx -comm flex -gen C:\Windows\Temp\RepairRequest.xml Caution! Use the whole line, including the - at the start. (6) Click the OK button, and wait for the Notepad window to appear. (7) Click File » Save As and save the file to your desktop as PalLicenseCommand2.txt. (8) Close the windows and close Excel. (9) Send an email to support@palisade.com (Palisade Technical Support). * Include your serial number or Activation ID (not Fulfillment ID) in the body of the email, and mention that you need a license repair. * Attach C:\Windows\Temp\RepairRequest.xml to the email. * Also attach PalLicenseCommand2.txt from your desktop to the email. * Don't send these instructions in your email.
